What does your doula package include?

As your doula, I will meet with you twice prior to the day you deliver. During our meetings we will discuss what comfort measures are most suitable for you.

Will you help my support partner too?

Absolutely! As a Doula I love facilitating the team work that happens between the laboring mother and her support person. Leading up to the big day, we will meet to discuss what mom and support person's desired roles for delivery day. I will provide you and support person all the tools you need to work together. As your birth BFF I'll also be there through out this process on the big day.

Where have you attended births?

I have attended multiple births in various locations. I have attended births at a birth center. I have attended births in a hospital setting both in person and virtually.

What do I do if my hospital doesn't allow doulas?

In these times, this is a very real concern for many expecting parents. The good news is we have the technology to make me as present as possible. In the even that I cannot attend your birth in person, I will be there via video chat. If you're planning on birthing at a hospital where doulas are not permitted, I will work very closely with you and your partner to ensure you work well as a team.

How can a doula help me if they're not there with me?

This is a common question many doulas get. I like to put it this way; remember the last time you had a bad day, and you picked up your phone to call your bestie? I provide the same kind of support. I am trained to use my voice and my words to help mothers stay focused on the end goal of delivering baby. I am also trained to direct a birthing person to the most comfortable positions, or ideas on how to change. I can also provide that support through video chat.

What point during labor would we meet?

For the most part, I meet with my clients once active labor has started. This varies from person to person . Once labor starts we will talk to determine your comfort levels and keep in frequent contact until we determine I am needed. Generally I go over the specifics of this with my clients in their prenatal appointments.

Do you stay for the entire birth or do you have a time limit?

Yes, I will stay for the entire birth. My contract outlines specifics for births that are abnormally long.
